I seem to have fallen off the wagon again with posts. Guess it's been a busy month (or it makes a nice excuse).
We had intentions of getting to several Halloween activities, but it turns out that just wasn't in the cards. The boys were train engineers and Chris and Nancy made them a life size Thomas the Train for us to use when trick-or-treating.
We tried to get to the Henry Doorly Spooktacular with Jess, Justin, Cady, & Zach but it was really busy so we ended up going to play at the park in costumes instead. I think the kids had just as much fun, and we got some really cute pictures. Oh, and we failed miserably at trying to get a picture of all four kids together.
Then we made it to Lincoln for the Boo at the Zoo with G-Ma Pat and Aunt Nancy earlier this week. It was great fun and the start of the MASSIVE amount of candy we now have in our house.
Next came trick-or-treating at school on Friday. I went with Cole's class trick or treating at City Hall (across the street) and then we tried to get a picture of 9 three-year-olds at once with their teacher Miss Rose (who is now gone on maternity leave). It was a good try...again.
Then, last but not least, came the real Halloween. We went back to our neighborhood in Papillion with our neighbors. Jess, Cady, and Zach also came to join in on the fun. Cole was hesitant for the first few houses, but then did really well from house to house. Easton did not go trick-or-treating (that story next), so don't wonder why we don't have any pictures of him.
Now for the Easton story. Friday he came home from school with a fever and it has continued ALL weekend long. It has ranged from 99-104.5 and we have gone through almost an entire bottle of Motrin AND Tylenol. I took him to the Dr this afternoon and they said it is simply a virus and has been lasting about a week. He has basically been sleeping on our laps all weekend. For last night he stayed with G-Ma and G-Pa while we took Cole trick-or-treating. We are hoping he is on the mend as this afternoon he managed to be under 99 for more than 2 hours!!
In other news, Chris installed his latest countertops Sat morning. They turned out really nice and he is very relieved to have that project finished. However, we did have to send him to urgent care Sat afternoon as his foot was VERY swollen and he could hardly wiggle his toes. They took some pictures and said it was just very badly bruised.
My poor sick and injured Sat night :(
