Easton's Stats...

Took E in for his one year check up today and he looks great. She said just keep on keeping on and we go back at 15 months :)
He weighed in at 19lbs 1.5oz (4%), is 30.75" (78%) tall, and 68% for head. So, he is still tall and skinny...only taller and skinnier than last time.

Easton's First Birthday

Though difficult for me to believe, E turned 1 last friday!!! We had family in town and a wonderful party to help celebrate over the weekend. As for being one, it doesn't seem to have phased him much. He is not yet walking, just pulling up on things and he talks constantly (though not really in understandable words). He has a handful of words, his favorite of which is "DaDa" (of course). Will post again after we go in for his well baby check tomorrow with his height and weight. But for now, some pictures from the past few weeks...

Jason and Katelyn came to visit

Yes, I got daring with the cakes again. They turned out pretty good :)
I am working on getting a video up of this, but am struggling with the computer on that one :(

This was at Devon's 3rd Birthday party. They had a ball driving around!!
 River City Roundup...baby chicks.
And baby pigs (Cole wouldn't touch them).
Actually STANDING on the combine harvester!!
 Hangin' with Kristy.

P.S. I gave up on the video, sorry. Will try again some other time :(

Hot Air Balloon Show

We found out about an annual hot air balloon show last week that we will be attending annually from here on out. It was really cool to see and the boys had a blast. It is held at an apple orchard so you sit between the orchard and a corn field. They have a band that plays all afternoon and food galore. Who could ask for anything more than hot air balloons, funnel cakes, and kettle corn?? The balloons set up and take off together. Then they come back and set up again and have a "glow." It was a lot of fun and quite the sight to see. (I can't seem to put my hands on the big camera this morning, so more pictures to come later).

In other news, Chris is getting ready to pour his next countertop later this week...more details of that to come as well.

Oh, and Husker volleyball season has begun...sorry in advance if the updates are a little delayed. As Chris says, I have become a "part-time wife" for the next couple months :)

Easton's Standing!!!

Easton seems to have figured out how to stay upright on two feet for almost a minute (though haven't caught that one on video yet)!! And, don't mind Cole's plane flying through :)

We have been recovering from a week of Chris being out of town as well as getting a few things done around the house. Chris took the tree down in the front yard that was plagued by the pine tree disease of late, and started stripping wallpaper from the mud room and the main floor bathroom.

We did manage to squeeze in a visit to the Lincoln Childrens Zoo with G-Ma Pat over the weekend. It's a great place to take pre-schoolers as everything is smaller and designed for their size. Cole went on his first pony ride, fed the goats, and hatched out of an egg (in true Montessori style)  :)

Spending Time at Home

This is E's new humidifier for his room. It is supposed to be an elephant and the steam comes out his snout, but the boys discovered if they took the top off it just poured over the sides and was fun to play with.
Where did it go?? :)
Umm...no caption needed. Be sure and note Cole is still wearing his Christmas PJ's :)
