We can't catch a break!!

So, after Cole hung on to his fever for 10 days, Easton has now had his for 6!! I was really hoping they would at least have the same bug so I didn't have to worry about Cole getting sick again...but no. Easton appears to have adenovirus, not the same thing at all. E has a runny nose and cough that Cole never had. So clearly my Clorox wipes are not working against these bugs!!

Not that it has stopped us from having fun around the house, but I am ready to have two healthy boys again :(

Yes, it WAS nice enough to have short sleeves on!! (And now it's SNOWING...again)

We went up the hill to "feed the nay-nays" in our backyard.

These guys live right behind us and LOVE to eat carrots (yes, we asked their parents first).

Our friend Emmalynn turned 1!! (And I made her that tutu)

The big kids got to decorate their own cupcakes, Cole went a little crazy with the sprinkles!!

I was attempting to do some laundry :)

He sat in this basket for almost an hour (completely on his own accord)!!
Sorry for the picture overload, I am trying to get better at updating!!

Oh, and in other news, Chris is building a trash cabinet for some friends (pictures coming soon) and I passed my Inpatient Obstetrics Certification yesterday. YAY!!!

Outside!!

Cole started this morning with NO fever!! He only had one 100.5 yesterday and otherwise was normal. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he is on the way back to healthy.

It's really hard to take a picture and push them both at the same time :)

This morning the sun is shining and the temps are going to be near 70 by Thurs (I think 50's today)!! Cole finished breakfast and said "Mommy, it's nice outside! Can we go play in the park in the backyard?" So we put on our coats (it's still a little chilly this morning) and headed outside. What a wonderful (and much needed) break from our family room!!

Busy Week

Last week was an interesting one (to say the least). Chris was out of town for work and I decided to surprise him by painting our master bedroom. This meant picking a color scheme and getting it all accomplished without him having a clue. The paint looks great, but I wasn't able to get the room put back together before he got back. In light of that, I snapped a few pictures but am hoping to get a few more of the completed project soon.
The before
The bathroom (darker gray)

The bedroom (lighter gray) on the left and bathroom on the right
In the middle of attempting to get the painting finished, Cole seems to have gotten a bug of sorts. He threw up once last Monday, but otherwise is not coughing or sneezing or throwing up or having diarrhea. He simply has a fever and a pitiful appetite. Due to the fever for a week, we took him in on Friday and they drew some labs. Everything looked "consistent with a viral infection" and we are to return if he still has a fever on Monday. That said, his temp was 103.3 tonight when I put him to bed. Needless to say, I am sure we will be seeing the Dr again on Monday :(

Easton is doing great, he has started singing his alphabet and talking a ton more. He wants to be doing everything Cole is doing (no shock there) :)

Sooo cute, I love this one

My Boys!!
