Not exactly sure where the time has gone, but Easton had his 9 month visit yesterday. He is doing great and met all of his developmental milestones. Especially since he started scooting around a couple weeks ago!!
He is now a whopping 18lbs 6oz (15%), 29.25" tall (80%), and dropped to the 61% for head :)
We have been very busy lately with a College World Series game, a fun summer parade, staining the deck, and keeping up with work...more updates and pictures to come!!

Just Playing
Cole decided he was 'hiding' in the bucket...too cute!!
Such a helper. And yes I realize those are Christmas PJ's, but you all know how opinionated Cole is about picking out his own clothes these days and I haven't gotten them out of the drawer yet (plus they still fit).
In other news, we had our ribbon cutting and public tours for my new hospital yesterday and we officially open on June 21st (I don't work that day, but am on-call). We already have 4 cases scheduled for deliveries that first morning (plus whatever walks in)! It is coming up quickly and we are getting VERY excited. It looks a little more like a hotel than a hospital but I believe it is the most family-friendly facility in the Omaha area. I was truly touched by one of our high risk moms yesterday that was in tears just thinking about the changes we have made and what that will mean for her family. If you want to see pictures or just see what it's all about the website is http://www.methodistforwomen.org/

Tough Choice
Many of you know our two kitties, Sydney and Lucy. We have had them since 2005 when they were both kittens and they have become a part of our family. However, as of lately we are having some issues with someone (haven't figured out which one just yet) peeing on the floor. First it was a spot occasionally, then we picked up the rugs and realized they were covered in spots, and today I cleaned up two spots in the SAME PLACE!!! We have taken them both in and they have been given a clean bill of health and we were given some options to try to see if things would get better.
Chris was ready to give them away about a month after we got them, so that would not be a problem for him. However, I am rather attached and worry about what would happen to them if they went to live somewhere else. Plus, I am not really sure how Cole would react if we told him they were gone. I grew up with kitties, and the thought of not having at least one around is heartbreaking to me. And the thought of 'giving up' on them just makes me want to burst into tears. The vet said to give it a month before we really think about 'placement' but I am just not sure I can wait that long. I have two young kids that run around and play on my floors and it is disgusting to think they might be playing in cat pee!!
It is these life questions that I struggle with the most. I wish there was always a right and a wrong answer...none of this wishy-washy stuff :(

Don't Tell Cole
Nothing motivates E to move more than an abandoned train track...just don't tell Cole he was touching the trains!! :)
See that track in front of him...it used to be a whole track around the rug.
Tired from all the track-wrecking.
Now all that is left is for me to answer to "who did this?" when Cole gets up from nap...
