Sick, Tired, & Injured

Well the title pretty much sums up our last week. Cole has been having trouble sleeping, he tells us he is afraid of something but we have not completely pinned down what it is exactly. There was talk of the wind being scary, but not much else. We have taken pictures down, turned on ALL the lights in his room, and have been laying with him to help him fall asleep. Most nights he is in bed at 7 and not asleep until 9:30!! He did, however, manage to sleep all night for the first time in several days.

Easton on the other hand, has been sleeping wonderfully!! Unfortunately, he is the sick and injured part of the title. Saturday morning he had a little too much curiosity and managed to put his hand on the pancake griddle. The damage could have been much worse, but he has a blister on his middle finger and some red patches on his palm and fingertips. We took him straight to the Dr and they put some cream and a lovely bandage on his entire hand. Just to keep the blisters intact and give everything a good chance to heal. Then Sunday he really didn't want to eat (which is COMPLETELY uncharacteristic of him) and he managed to throw up shortly after dinner. He spiked a fever of 101.4 and went to bed at 6p. Yesterday his fever was 99.8 and he seems to be feeling better. We are on nearly 4 meals already this morning!! His hand does not seem to be bothering him, and he is adjusting to life without any fingers (for now). He has also been on an antibiotic for an ear infection since one of his tubes fell out already. We are waiting on a call back from the ENT this morning to find out if they want to schedule the surgery to put in new tubes sometime soon. His tubes were both in and working great in March, so it hasn't taken him long to get another infection :(

I would say I am hoping for a better day today, but so far Easton only wants to sit on my lap and watch "Thomas" so thinking it will be another long day...

At least he is still smiling :)
